In 2015, we opened the doors to our first store at Toombul Shopping Centre with a simple yet heartfelt mission: to bring beautifully crafted, locally made gifts to our community. It was the realization of a dream, born from a love of unique, meaningful treasures and a desire to support Australian artisans.

Two years later, life blessed us with another milestone—the arrival of our first child. As parents, we experienced firsthand the joy and challenges of growth, much like our small business. Balancing family life and running Purple Tree Gifts became a journey of learning, resilience, and immense gratitude. Our store became more than just a business; it was part of our family’s story, growing alongside us and our customers.

In 2019, we relocated to Westfield Chermside, excited to bring our vision to an even larger community. We remained steadfast in our commitment to championing Australian-made products, showcasing the incredible talent and craftsmanship of local creators.

 

However, like many small businesses, the pandemic brought unforeseen challenges. Rising costs and the economic strain forced us to make a difficult decision: after nearly a decade, we closed our physical storefront. But this was not the end—only a new beginning.

 

Today, Purple Tree Gifts thrives as an online store. While the platform has changed, our mission remains the same: to share unique, locally made gifts that tell a story and bring joy. We pour the same passion, care, and dedication into our online presence, determined to create a seamless and heartfelt shopping experience for our loyal customers.

 

We’ve faced our share of challenges, but we’ve also experienced incredible moments of triumph and joy. It is the support of our wonderful customers—many of whom have been with us since the beginning—that keeps us going.
